Lucas is from Rochester, NY. He received biotechnology degrees from both the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Buffalo. His thesis at the University of Buffalo was on metabolomics; When the opportunity to join the Broad Metabolomics Platform presented itself right after graduation, he felt it was an excellent match.

He currently runs the HILIC negative method but also helped with the HILIC positive method in the past. He is constantly working to further develop and improve workflows associated with the method.

Outside of work, Lucas’s biggest hobby is hiking. He is over halfway through the New Hampshire 4000 footers, and he is also aiming to see as many waterfalls as possible, in New England and in the world.
